TRANE in Vietnam market Trane was present in Vietnam market since 1958 and was the leading trade name and trademark in air conditioning in South Viet Nam . The first distributor agreement for Viet Nam was signed between The Trane Company and Denis Freres d’Indochine, S.A.R.I (later changed its name to Thai Binh Duong Co.) in Saigon ( changed to Ho Chi Minh city in April 1975) on 29 May 1958. This agreement remained in effect until the event 1975. After the US trade embargo is lifted, the company decided to return the market by applying for setting up its resident representative office in HoChiMinh city in January 11, 1995 and opened its first office few months later, then in 1998, the company opened its second office in Hanoi. Trane Vietnam has been successfully promoting trade activities, seeking Vietnam-based partners, forming and developing a strong nation-wide distribution network including wholesalers, construction companies, engineering contractors and consulting engineers.
